New pix: The Little Giraffe & Rearranged quilt studio

Here's a pix of a commission just finished for a friend's grandchild. I have a another one to do for the second twin. I have an idea for a completely different animal design quilt using fabrics of African style animal prints.

I have rearranged my quilt studio for my new Janome MC7700 just appropriated. Very exciting.

I'm still tickled with Bronnie saying she's so pleased with the new Janome that sometimes she just has to walk by and pat it. That is the ultimate in happy. Polly

No, it is not always that tidy! I had to do a clean up to rearrange the room; but fortunately I am between projects having just finished the Giraffe Quilt. I always do a tidy up then. This week, a really good vacuum *everywhere* has made it look much better than usual. I am one of those most peculiar quilters that -- a)only add to my stash for a project, b) love starting a new project in a fairly tidy room, c) don't often have more than two projects on the go at any one time. Tragic. I am going to Houston this year, leaving Aust. on Oct 8th - more on that later - I have been only half teasing my quilt buddies (there will be 6 of us there) that my purchases will be restricted to machine needles and quilt pins! Well, maybe some other notions and a few fat quarters My buddies will be taking empty suitcases and spending up big.....they said they want to help the US economy along, that's a noble idea indeed. No, Roberta, it is the most well made table, thick metal legs and solid top. And the SM of course is smooth and quiet. A carpeted room probably assists too in keeping things stable. Bronnie

Thanks Susan, I love that quilt too and have it in our lounge room to snuggle under. the striped material is integral to the success of that block design, so I sourced it in particular from an Aussie vendor who specialises in Japanese fabrics. Yes, it would look fun in Kaffe prints. Take care, I guess you are still looking after Mom. Bronnie
