That's pretty cool!

I am thinking of another tattoo, will probably be a quilt block of some sort as a "background", with a ball of yarn. Crossed with the ball of yarn [like you do the needles] will be a quill type pen, for my passion of writing, and something else [haven't decided on scissors, or crochet hook, or sewing needle]

This site has a lot of edgy and funky embroidery designs that I could see as tattoos. Some are pretty cute. KJ

I stick myself enough when I sew and/or quilt so I don't think I'll be paying for the pleasure anytime soon. Once thought I wanted a pieced heart that looks like a sewn on patch as a tattoo, but too damn scared of needles! Every birthday ending with a 0 or 5 I think of it again, but never get there. My son has one whole arm done in a beautiful tattoo. DD has a moon and sun on the back of one shoulder. It's pretty.

All of my work is where I can see it without a mirror. Two are Celtic pieces [one on inside of left forearm] Most people are really surprised the butterfly on my right wrist is a tattoo. Maybe I should get something to cover up my melanoma scar....

I have a "fake" tattoo that says Born to Quilt with a red heart and a needle and it is so cool. I had it on my ankle and DD finally noticed it. Now, I've been talking about a tattoo for years, so I thought she would assume it's real.

DD: "Nice faux tattoo, Mom". Me: "How did you know it's fake?" DD: "Looks too good".

And she's right. The colors are really bright and the lines are sharp. She has 2 tattoos and they just don't look like that.

The moral of the story is that I'm going to wait until they look as good as the fake one.

DH has a friend. The tattoo by the scar on his stomach says "in", the tattoo by the scar on his back says "out".

Bullet holes.

I recall, somebody posted it here last year as a work in progress, the outline was done and a few of the sewing notions colored in.... now it is all finished! Kaylah is a talented dedicated young sewist who peddles her pretty zippered pouches at etsy:

All of my tattoos I can easily hide. The one on my stomach is usually never seen. The one around my ankle shows the most because in Arizona I wear shorts or skirts most the time. I also have one on my back right shoulder and one on my left breast.

I just found an artist here in Arizona and I'm going next month to get my fifth tat. A lotus on the inside wrist of my left hand. It will be the only tattoo that I will be able to see full time. It is in celebration of my 50th year... and well, I just wanted another one anyway ;)

one per decade eh. we just had a Maori Tattoo artist, very well known in the industry apparently, refused entry to a pub because of the Maori tattoo on his face. the doorman considered it gang insignia so he was refused entry. in fact it is a cultural tattoo here. often seen so how the doorman messed that up is odd.

at least one town here has made it a local by-law that gang insignia and/or gang colours are not allowed in the town in public view. this is a new by-law and so far only one idiot challenged it and was charged. i wonder if a bunch of quilters arrived in town with matching clothes and quilt design tatts, they would be charged too. fill up the jails with a bunch of grey/white haired tattoo'd ladies. what a hoot. j.

Hey there was that one time a few years ago when a mall in Ohio chucked out a contingent of Red Hat ladies who were on an outing together.

The world is just full of loons.

...and it aint always the Red Hat Ladies or the Quilters who are the loons. ok, so we keep a bail fund just in case but we are not loons just very misunderstood by the mainstream. j.
