Quilt & Embroidery Machine Help Please!!!

I did not know anything about quilt till I asked my wife to go to a class to learn how to do this 6 years ago so she could have something to do while I was at work. After that, I thought, oh boy! what a big mistake. Because all the expenditure required during the initial and then never ending projects I thought, no more hobbies. Well, I think now, it was worthed. She had made some beautifull quilts and always getting better. Now, I would like her to have some help and have a new toy to play with. Well, I think I foud what she needs but it is expensive and since I work very hard to earn my money, I need to be sure I get this right from the start. I will only have one chanse to buy this, unles I hit the LOTO, pease God! So, I will sincerely need your opinion and some idea on what will be my best shoice. Thank you for your time God Bless!!

The Bernina 200E will work with the computer software for digitzing and fro transfer to and from the machine. I love it. Great stitch quality and user friendly. Cost is about 5,000-6,000.

Hope this helps, Linda

I think it would be a great idea for you to give your wife a gift certificate for the machine of *her* choice. It's very hard to select a machine for someone else, and if you give her a choice, she'll have the fun of trying out all the machine before she decides which one is right for her.

Skip the software that comes with the machines. Too much $$$$$. You can do better by getting an Amazing Box or Ultimate Box w/blank card (card readers/writers), the Embird basic software (design editing), and the Embird Digitizing studio (design digitizing). Much cheaper and are highly respected and used by home embroiderers all over the world. You may want to join this newsgroup to get more info:
