my day was unique but special too. Hubby and I went to Pampa to get some groceries and we ate at LJS. Just love the shrimp and clams. Eating Steak tomorrow night! He let me go to Hastings and get several new magazines. I am going to Abilene today and stopping off at hobby lobby before I hit the crop at the crop store. Thanks to all who sent me greetings also. Most were on facebook, but thanks!

Happy Belated Birthday to you also, April. Sounds like your birthday is extended over a couple of days. Hope you have a good time at your crop. Looks like there are several birthdays in April. Mine was the 2nd - same day as M-C's. I got my chocolate cake.

I had the link to the old file M-C made for us a few years ago, but it no longer works and the rcs website has a virus so we can't use it. I remember last year at Christmas several members e-mailed me asking about addresses for cards. I passed on the old file we had with addresses only to those members who were also in the file then e-mailed newer members asking permission to pass on their address to those asking. I know M-C is busy with her new house and getting ready to move and just does not have extra time right now. One of the larger crop groups I am involved with did a rolodex card swap for addresses and birthdays. Members wishing to participate decorated rolodex cards with their info on them (some included photos of themselves), made one for each person participating and then we swapped them out. I have a rolodex of crop members. Some of the cards were really creative. Maybe we could do a swap like that and use the same rules as for our other swaps like being a member for so many months to participate, etc.

I too like the idea of having a rolodex type swap. I would love to have the addresses and other pertinent information of the people in this group and I recently attended a Scrap Booking Retreat where we were supposed to do a tag swap. I loved the creativity of each one... However, there were 24 people registered and I only have 12 tags... The two ladies that hosted it only made 1, (my daughter owes me one)... and 10 people chose to not participate.... but we did not know this in advance, so most of us made them one anyway. I have mine on a ring right beside my crafting desk.... (Table) I plan to put them on the wall when I am in my more permanent room... (if that really happens). (Also wondering now where I put my Rolodex type desk accessory.....) Need to go on a scavenger hunt for my stuff from my desk....

I think that is a good idea Sandy. I would be up for it. A suggestion I have would be to write your contact info in a pencil that way it can be updated without having to scratch out stuff or create a new card.
