So proud I had to share

I finally completed a pendant that I would actually feel good about selling. It's an abalone cab wrapped in GF wire. Everything just clicked and I am really happy with the way it turned out!

Well, it helps if you spend an hour on a pendant that should only take 20 minutes to do! I keep going over the wires until they are as close to perfect as they will let themselves get. Most times the whole thing just goes bad from the start (i.e. the rest of the pendants I have made).

Thanks!

I'd probably be a lot further along in my progress if I worked at it more consistently. I had a two-month period where I didn't do any wirework because between the holidays and work I just couldn't get the enthusiasm to do anything. My goal this year is to try to do something with wire everyday, even if it is just studying new techniques or working towards getting a business set up.

Thanks! Tanya

OK, I just wanted to say a combined "Thank You SO Much!!!" for all the wonderful comments on my pendant. I didn't want to clog up the group with individual messages to just say "thanks", plus I am a slow typer and my fingers are getting exhausted! :)

You have all made me feel so good and I am just overwhelmed by the positive responses! That was just the boost the ol' self-esteem needed.

Thanks again everyone!

BTW, I have had an inquiry about purchasing that pendant. Not sure how serious they are, but now I have to come up with a price. I almost hate to let it go!

**smile** thanks for the encouragement, but i'm still way, way behind you! maybe when i get to Seattle i'll have more time to practice! [every time i say practice and think "silver wire" at the same time, i cringe!]

Tanya, I get his newsletter and have been all over his site. I've been curious, but not sure if it's legit. Were you happy with what you got? (Obviously you learned to make beautiful items) Was it worth the money?

Thanks
