To make dough? I bought a cuisinart FP, used, at a garage sale... no dough blade
It has been my experience that the metal blade works just as well. I never bother to look for the plastic blade for my Cuisinart, because the metal one is already in place, ready to go. It's always done fine for me.
The metal works fine. The food processor overkneads, however. A cheap way that served me for years was to buy a cheap vertical breadmaker with a dough only cycle[a Breadman for about $45]. Knead with it not using their dough cycle, but as long as you the baker want to knead the dough.
