fig cake

Hi - I recently purchased fig cake with almonds and am afraid it is going to dry out before I am able to eat it all :o)

It is actually more like a bread and was wondering if it can be wrapped in cheesecloth that has been soaked in some type of liquid - like fruitcake?

Any ideas - it is a bit expensive to waste.

Yes. A brandy or rum-soaked cheesecloth would be nice.

that's what I'd do. Cheesecloth soaked in brandy or maybe even cointreau? Then wrapped in foil. wendy
