Wood Fired Ovens

I was invited to a cook out this past weekend, and the guy had an oven that was imported from Italy, it was really cool, it seems that these ovens are very efficient, they burn wood, like 7 lbs of wood will cook for like 8 hours Approx. I was told these are very popular in Italy ?

I watched my friend cook all day, he made Pizza, Bread, Baked rib and pork roast them made baked pasta, and the whole time it was like 100DEG C ~ 350 DEG F and the food was really good.

The oven is about the size of a refrigerator, hight and width, but a little bit deeper- and is on wheels so you can move it around, and cook outside on a patio or garden ECT... it had a brick lined upper compartment, the fire was contained in a middle compartment, and there was a bottom compartment, which you can use as a warmer....

He told he bought this from a friend who imported them from Itaily, supposedly he brought 50 of them into the country, my only comment was wow ! it was really neat to see this thing work and the food was really great also !

If anyone knows of these or would like more info please let me know and I will try to get the guys info because I am interested also !
