Sarajane, thanks for that info! I had never thought of using it as a coloring thing.

I wonder -- what do you think of using crackle glazes over polymer clay? I'd like to try it but don't want to eat the clay.

I love that look. Anything with an acrylic rather than oil (mineral ester) base is worth a try. Use it and check on it in 6 months for interaction. And report back!! I'd like to find a good crackle glaze too. Sarajane

Fragile Crackle works Sarajane, I think Dottie uses it in her Creative Ways book.

I bought it at Walmart, and I think Michaels carries it too. the full name is Anita's Fragile Crackle. I haven't used it on my clay yet, but I still have some left over from a huge mirror I have in my livingroom. the stuff does a great job of crackling, the movers thought my mirror was a valuable antique. LOL
