I'll add you to my law school exam prayer list. I've spent the last week giving my daughter pep talks every evening. She's convinced she failed Civil Procedure (as is everyone else in her class), but thinks she did okay in Con Law. She has one more to go on Monday.

LOL thanks --we law students can use all the help we can get. Keep giving her those pep talks. Civ Pro always seems horrible - it did to me too - but I survived. Tell her the old saying is "there's nothing civil about civ pro."
you should get the copy of the "Restatement of Law 2nd for Law Students" (the title is an inside law joke, there's a "restatement" book for almost any kind of law)
and print it up for her. I have it posted on our school newspaper website
formatting link
also - there is a "finals stress relief page" LMAO go to the "current issue" link - and look for restatement link in Cheryl of DRAGON BEADS Flameworked beads and glass
Oh, God, Cheryl, the restatement is a hoot. I sent it along to her.
I'm finding this all somewhat -- odd is the word that springs to mind. I put her ex-father through law school, many many many long years ago, so this is the second time around for hearing many of these complaints and giving these pep talks.

my sympathies!
I couldn't believe it - but night before last my ex called me - first time in... sheesh.... hmmmmm 15 years.
I couldn't resist telling him I was graduating from Law School in May... (eat your heart out turkey - lol) he sounded pretty depressed.... I think life has not been great for him the past 15 years... but - NOT MY PROBLEM

Amen to that. When I was Putting Hubby Through (1966 - 1969) there was ONE woman in law school at that time. There was an active Law Student's Wives' Club, and we all actually received actual diplomas granting us our PHT degree. I shudder to remember those days.
And I know I'll sound like an old fart, but it "was" harder to go through when I was in school because there still weren't a lot of women in law school back then...there were only 3 of us in my class, so the support system wasn't as broad as it is for women now.
But we are strong, we are invincible, we are women...you will be great, and I look forward to you joining the sorrority.
I graduated from law school in 1982 (although it seems like 1892) and hard is it was, you DO forget the pain after you pass the bar. (Of course, back then, we didn't pass many bars during the school year!! LOL!).>
LOL - I will keep that in mind through July 29, 2004.....
thank you! One down (prof responsibility this morning is now over and done -- crappy test
- probably got a B- or C... one of his questions was supposedly a 45 min answer - HA - maybe two days....and I could have managed that one adequately)

And the women who *were* actually in law school would get castigated for taking a place that some man could have USED -- it was automatically assumed that any woman would quit after a few years, get married, and stay home with the kids.
No, I don't have any desire to go back to the Good Old Days.
