AD: Gaga for Gaia

Hi there fellow bead lovers:

Most of you have probably seen Kronos glass and beads made with it. It is a very pretty, but have you seen it's cousin Gaia? I LOVE IT! I bought I played I created! Oh my, it is so much fun. It starts a transparent green and reduction flame turns it blue, aque, green, tan, teal, purple. It can have an oil slick like sheen or full on metallic.

On ebay I have several Gaia auctions. I have two favorites:

A set - Fairy Tale

A Focal - Dragon Tears

Lara -- I loved the colors on Dragon Tears. I couldn't see the difference in the glass on the pressed beads you posted, but the Dragon Tears had quite a nice range. Personally, I hate clear bumps on beads. I think they look cancerous. LOL. The colors are pretty.

Thanks Becky. Not sure what to say about the cancerous bumps comment, but it made me laugh. HEE HEE :)

:) Killed you, oh no. Hasn't someone taught Sooz not to put beads in her mouth? :P

Thanks Sooz

I must seem awfully simple, but I simply love the Gaia spacers. The color is just enormously satisfying to me. Much better than the complex and wondrous but cold as deep space Kronos.

I'm not going to link to the spacers because I want them!!

I like that you use them for Aurora beads, because this is the most usual color auroras come in. Like the lights last night.

Is this, Gaia, the same glass as Jill Feldstein used here?

Her beads are tawnier and have more of a mellow lime in it as well as a straw color, but are as you describe the glass also. I can see my bead expenditure rising as this glass gets more popular.

Nah, you aren't awful! They are way cool too. Just not as exciting as the other beads. I'm pretty sure it is the same glass as Jill used and wow, that set is just lovely! She got some great colors in her beads, especially in the spacers.
