That's a nice piece you made there. Eventually I will own atleast one of your pieces, be it polymer or this new found mixed media your attempting.

I really like it and the fact it uses found objects only adds to the intrigue.

Lovely....but the pic is too small - can't see it very well!! More, more more!

Exactly - the lighter background on the photos is fab, but I want to see closeups!

Thank you all for you kind comments!

The front is completely pieced together as a seamless collage from my huge lifetime stash of ephemera. Never saw a piece of paper or junk that I didn't love! :-}

Tink...I tried emailing larger pics but not sure it went through. If not, contact me at jnewman(at)falcon1.net and I'll try again. Ebay wouldn't let me supersize but I'll make sure the next listing has larger pics!

Thanks again....Jill

Is this between soldered slides? I make a memory bracelets using smaller pieces, but my soldering is not nearly so smooth. Or did you just solder on the two jumprings?

If you soldered all 4 sides, can you tell me HOW you get it so smooth????

Pretty, pretty piece, and nice way to use up all the "acquisitions".

It's soldered all around. I don't know any special tricks. I used to do stained glass now and then and got used to using the iron. Solder is self-leveling...maybe it would help to know that...which you probably already knew!

Practice maybe? Make sure your tape is as neat as possible before soldering? Too much flux?

Sorry...I feel like I'm no help at all.

thanks. i've been soldering for 100 years and with my fine silver, it's no prob, cause you don't need solder you can just torch.

i'm going to give it a try with sheet solder and see if that works any better. i'm the only one who complains about it, so i probably shouldn't angst so much, but these are memory pieces made from things that belonged to a client's loved one, so I want it to be as perfect as I can get it...maybe that's as perfect as I can get it!!!

Still, I'm sorry I can't help more. Actually, this is my first attempt at slide pendants and I'm looking to improve as I go as well.

Thanks again, Jill
