Bead Bazaar - Maryland

The Bead Society of Greater Washington's 39th Semi-Annual Bead Bazaar was held this past weekend at the Ramada Inn in New Carrollton, MD. I thought it was a good show. It was well attended. The vendors had an excellent selection of beads and findings. I escaped with ONLY $122.75 in damages.

I picked up:

1 strand of 10mm Rd Chinese Writing Stone beads. Never heard of these before. Nice color. 1 strand of 10 mm Rd Russian Serpentine beads. 1 strand 10 mm Rd Tigers Eye beads. 1 strand 4mm barrels and rondelles Tigers Eye beads. 2 strands 6mm rondelle Brown Goldstone beads. I love Brown Goldstone. 2 strands 6mm barrels and rondelles Brown Goldstone beads. 1 100 ft. spool Soft Touch .024 Dia. 49 wires. I've never used this before. Been using Beadalon Professional Series .018 Dia 49 strands.

Blast, crap and phooey! I forgot all about it. I was supposed to go to Delaware to console the grand-daughter about her surgery (tonsils and adnoids) and when her surgery was cancelled, I forgot about the bead show. I could have met you there!

Oh well, maybe in the fall.

Sure, I plan to go to the Fall show. I had the dates but can't find it now.........GRRRRRRRRR!!

I found it.......The Fall show is November 8th and 9th 2004 at the Ramada Inn - New Carrollton, MD (Exit 20B off Rt 95/495). If you live near enough to make a "Bead Road Trip".......do it!

Roxan, I went to Beadfest in Ft. Washington. Got lost going and got lost leaving, but I'd still go again. :) Maybe Next time I can get someone to go along as navigator. 8-) Cheri (Bubbee to Emily and Nathan)

I think the person who sent me the Fall schedule was looking at the 2003 schedule and I took them at their word and did not look at a 2004 calendar......I'm just a man and I don't need directions... :-D

I'm in Frederick. I normally come down 270 to 495 to get to New Carrollton. If I'm going to Beadfest I go out 70 east to Balt, then take 695 west to 95 north. Is that on the way to anyone? Cheri (Bubbee to Emily and Nathan)
