bead shops in Auburn, Alabama

Are there any beads shops in, or near Auburn, Alabama. My friend and neighbour in New Zealand is going there to attend her daughter's wedding to an Auburn boy. I have made Sarah's wedding bouquet of white and gold centered French Beaded flowers and Kay , her Mum wants to bead shop for me. She will not have much time or transport but we are ever hopeful that there will be a shop nearby. Any help would be appreciated as beads are expensive here. Jan

I hope I am not annoying anyone reposting in the form of a question in the heading. I am beginning to think that there are no bead shops there but have tried googling the town for info and did not find any. Thank you in advance. Jan

From what I can find out, there are two craft shops in Auburn, AL, and both are listed in the Auburn phone book as having beads:

Anders Book Stores Inc (334) 821-1137

212 W Magnolia Av Auburn, AL   Johnston And Malone Book Store (334) 887-7007   115 S College St Auburn, AL

I can't vouch for either of these places, because I live thousands of miles away, and I've never been to Alabama. There doesn't seem to be anything at all in nearby towns - even Michael's and Hobby Lobby (which stink) are over

30 miles from the center of Auburn.

Hope this helps, at least a little,

Thank you Sooz and Kathy for your replies. Sooz, your original reply did not get through. Yesterday, when I went to download there was nothing for rec.crafts. beads and 8 hours later there were 12 items, usually, there are over 100 each time I download. I don't know if this was just a local problem but I love reading this group night and morning. I chuckle over some comments, send up a few prayers and good wishes and indulge in a lot of eye candy plus learn lots. Kathy, I was interested that both shops you mentioned are also book shops. Two of my favourite shops together. Apologies to anyone else who replied. I thought it was not like this group who are usually very helpful.Maybe the replies are out there in cyberspace. Cheers, Jan
