I'd be waving my checkbook too if I was in the position to be buying ART. I think it's awesome! Stephanie

....wow.

those are some amazing beads. I'm glad to see that she's getting that price for them. although a part of me hopes that all lampwork doesn't become this expensive, cause I'd never be able to afford it!

The color reaction is so gorgeous, I am driven to guess what it must be. I've had a good reaction from one of the purples, silver, and ink blue--anyone have a guess what blue might do the same thing? I'm happy for Kim, too; that's a mortgage payment and then some!

Don't worry, Amber. Even if people pay a fortune for a Picasso you can still get a velvet Elvis! Or a nice piece of art by a nice artist for not a lot of money. That's how the art world always goes. I'd love to own just one of Kim's beads, I'm not greedy, just one would do. That's all. Just one.

same here. I could be perfectly happy with just one of her beads.

I was so happy when Kandice started doing the catalogue on her website, because that gave me the chance to own one of her beads..something I'd never be able to do bidding on ebay. although actually, I own four of her beads now..three pumpkins and one rose.

Me too, I got lucky back when I had some mad money to win a set but I also have a single bead that is just as important to me.

In fact I have single beads from several people here that I really cherish.

It is one thing I really envy about the US for beadmaking, all the wonderful glass available and also the network that gives people the chance to see and try it or simply hear of it word of mouth. We feel very remote here in the UK sometimes when we only hear about stuff like this pretty much 'after the fact'.

I still want to stock Mike up with some Bullseye, sadly the HS money is keeping us fed now so we're not in the market for buying up glass. Eventually, though!
