David Sivers, you're such a talented beadmaker!

I won another of David's beads recently and it arrived today.

Stunning.

Amazing.

Superb.

I really cannot begin to describe this bead. I am genuinely in awe of the talent and art and just plain heart that created this gorgeous bead.

It is never ever going to be sold again, I'm keeping this one for ME. Thank you, David, for making such a gorgeous bead.

I remember when you first posted about his work. Thanks!

They look amazing in the photos but when they arrive, it's like Christmas all over again.

David, that bead has spirit in plenty. I saw the bear again in the one bubble. The layers underneath are a combination of northern lights, PNW art and that spirit. Each time I look at it there's something new.

I'm waiting for you to do a Raven when the time is right. However, this bead is definitely part of my very own personal collection. I am now planning the right way to wear it, I'm thinking leather and a collection of special beads knotted in, each one just there because. No symmetry for me. *smirk* I can do that because I'm a Pisces.

This group teems with talented lampworkers, stringers and beadweavers. I don't post much anymore but I check out the ADs, and people's progress. I remember when RCB made it possible for Kandice to begin lampworking (and what a worthwhile investment THAT was!). I enjoy watching the progress of Mike, Dawn, Kalera, and others as they redefine their limits.

I luckily own one of Dawn's beads, one of Kalera's, one of Kandice's, and lots from lampworkers who don't post here - Shannon Hill, Laurie Smith, Patsy Evins, Patty Cahill, Bobbie Roberts, Mavis Smith, Lea Zinke, Lori Greenberg..

Each bead embodies the personality of the maker. That's why I collect lampwork and why I won't part with any of them.

Hmph, let me see your official 'I'm an Asymmtrical Pisces card.

Hah. Thought not. I think you're a Virgo in disguise.

I'm Pisces too, and I'm "painfully symmetrical"! To the point of being anal about it! Although I love asymmetrical jewelry design, whenever I try it, it just looks lopsided!...LOL!

Oh, the mental picture that conjured up!...LOL!!!! I have to get me one of those beads! Yes! Yes! Yes!

LOL, I still say you're Virgos in disguise.

I'm the asymmetrical one, but then I was always a bit off-kilter.

Seconded, thirded and fourthed..... I'm drawn to this bead. Sometime I'm going to switch from intensely wanting one of David's beads to NEEDING one!! I could need this one. I'm a Virgo, and tend toward symmetry. But I can still appreciate assymetry. Peace, Lilyflower lilyflower @ theworld.com

It's ok, there is a lot of symmetry out there. As an un-Virgo, I understand the need for it and also the joy of not worrying if things are slightly out. My lovely neighbor is a Virgo. A very precise Virgo. I make earrings for her. Normally I make a set of five, she chooses the two that are most exactly alike and is happy. I have odd earrings but who cares? I sell the other pair that's closest and the odd one, well, I'm saving up for a charm bracelet.

Every one a winner!

Many thanks to everyone for your generous comments. You are all very kind. Su, Kalera,Dawn and Lilyflower, thank you so much! Speaking of symmetry, Su got me going on this discussion a little while back, and planted this bug, so I had to get this out of my system. I will be posting a few of the results this week.
