Ot: I'm on a roll/ Travel fantasy

I love to travel, and have been doing it all my life. And always at low cost. But that's cool, because that's how you really see a place.

When we were kids we all went to Europe at 1/2 price. Five kids under 12! Ages 5 1/2 (me) to 11. We stayed in Glasgow longer than expected because my sister burst her appendix. We stayed in a bombed out hotel in Berlin before the wall went up. Stayed with relatives in Germany and Denmark. Spent 4 months there.

My father had a truck route between Mexico and So Cal in the 20s and he had some buddies down there we used to visit. Poor people.

And in the 60s my husband and I moved to Canada with the kids, and moved just about constantly. After I became single, I lived in one place and began traveling again. I visited my son when he worked in Prague and in Ukraine, also visiting some relatives in other countries in Europe. I also drove to lots of states, and went to Mexico. I especially loved going there last year and living cheaply in a simple fishing village.

I would love to travel more, visiting friends in the States, family up and down the West coast, checking out stuff with the engine, seeing national parks.

I'd love to spend time learning more healing arts, and learning more beading arts.

I'd like to go to W. Europe to visit beaders, friends and relatives. I'd like to see Japan and China, and of course Bali. I'd like to spend some extended time in Mexico and Ukraine again, and in Nepal and New Zealand and Australia.

And everywhere else.

For those of you who missed it or deleted it, I announced a while ago that Kerry, my wife, is taking a group of beaders to Bali in 2005. If you want more info email me. Armand Vine

ps: anyone who goes to Italy and does not go to Florence to see michaelangelo's David is really foolish. to go that far and not see it would be a shame.
