OT: Talk about Bad Luck! LOL

Well, I've finally done my worst (I hope). The last bunch of months it seems like my main PMS symptom is Klutz. I turn into a total giraffe on roller skates. I was saying to Mike this morning that it's a good thing it's too windy to make beads, or I'd probably go up in flames.

Instead I fondled some beadies, took a few pix (gotta post the beauties from the weekend later), and went to gather up laundry. I forgot to remind the kids to bring me their hampers, so I braved their rooms (both actually pretty neat for once) to collect them. DS's was fine. DD's though.....I picked it up, something snagged, made me lose my balance, I misstepped and bumped a wooden stool she has RIGHT into her full length mirror-door. This is her closet door and is basically a very large framed mirror on hinges. I stood there in amazement as the crack "bloomed" into a spiderweb of cracks covering the entire door! Amazingly not a single piece fell out. I spent the next hour taping it so that it wouldn't go kaflooey, then humbly went over to the office to put in a maintenance request for a replacement. It's gonna cost me about $100.

This is proof that doing laundry is dangerous and I plan to quit immediately.

Its the only sensible thing to do. That, and teach the young ones to load the machine themselves. (doesnt apply if they arent tall enough to reach the knobs yet) Diana

What happens when you run outta clothes?? Unlike dishes you probably don't want to switch to plastic... (I said probably because I know a few twisted individuals here that probably would not mind plastic at all :)

heheheh

The problem with paper dresses was that they were, well, paper. Fragile. But there's no reason you couldn't make clothing out of Tyvek!

Karen -- I drug Carol into a dollar store the other day. Couldn't find my keys (which I had placed IN THE BASKET), went to the car to find they were not there (a great relief, since I lock them in the car. Often), came back in and slipped on the rain that had been tramped in with the people (in other words, water on the floor) and have a big ass bruise on my left arm. With a knot in it. My boyfriend has been here for a week, visiting, and the stupid thing has just barely changed color, LOL.

I always look like a battered woman just due to being clumsy, DEPENDING on what I am doing. The stress of moving adds to my trouble sleeping, and during both my moving process (which is over) and Carol's (which is also over) I have the "moving bruises." Dropped a TV on my leg moving me to CA, and I am a mess of small bruises from running into things while cleaning here.

In other words -- I can relate! LOL

I have a jacket made out of Tyvek! It's either an Atlanta Braves or and Olympic jacket - got it by sending in cereal box tops and a few bucks!!
