OT: Trinkett's Tent

I have had some inquiries about Trinkett's tent. Well she has been sleeping in it more and more, especially with this cold weather. I got a few shots of her in the tent tonight.

It has a flap to keep out bugs, a regular flap, and if you look inside she has a window I can zip open.

aww - what a cutie. I also note the piles of blankies.... This doesn't surprise me -- I learned from a friend's chihuahua that they are "communal" and "burrowing" dogs. They like to "cuddle" up in groups in the wild to keep warm, and they will naturally "dig under" to get warm. My friend's dog loved to get under the afghan -- but even more - would crawl under a hem of a sweater or sweatshirt if you'd let him - and curl up right against you! LOL

I knew Trinkett loved to burrow, but I didn't know they were the type to do that. She is always digging at the covers. Now that make sense.

We always have blankets on the couch for the two of us (I'm as cold as she is most times.) She sleeps with Dan and I way under the covers every night. Rule is she has to sleep on my side curled up against me, which she does until he goes to work.

That's adorable. I wish my 3 chihauahau's would go in a tent

Do you have one? My friends got it for her from Walmart. By the time I get there they were sold out. All her chis use the tents.

It took Trink a while to sleep in there. I never thought she would use it either, but then my friend was raving about her tents. Trinkett loves to play in there too and takes a lot of her babies in with her.

I got one finally and sent it to my MIL. They have two old yorkies and they are using it now as well. I just make sure Trinkett has blankets because she loves to be warm.

I'm going to have to try that. It is really crowded in our bed. 3 chi's and 2 adults in a queen size bed. Half the time I get pushed out or I'm like a pretzel. lol

We only have Trinkett and Dan wants to get a King size bed. We were really crowded when Smudges slept with us. She's the lab.

Mmmmm.... How does 2 border collies and 2 Austrailian shepherds + 2 adults in a king-sized bed sound? I know somebody with that situation.... One of Becki's "just down the road a bit" neighbors. Kaytee "Simplexities" on

Eeek! Sounds a bit crowded. Do the humans sleep at the foot of the bed?

No... they get settled first, then the dogs join them. Actually, one dog no longer can get up in the bed by himself, so he usually sleeps on the floor next to the bed.

She says she's not at all concerned that her hubby will have girlfriends "sleeping over" when she's not home.... Kaytee "Simplexities" on

I think I know who you mean, but frankly it sounds like Carol and Fred. In a regular sized double bed!

I'm still laughing too. What's really sick is that wherever I am in the house I move the tent.
