PING: Dawn - artinsomnia

I thought you'd like to see what I did with some of the beads that you sent me for Tucker. :) More to come, too! Thank you so much - your wonderful donation is helping out so much!

Wow, Linda, those look wonderful! It never occurred to me to use a focal sized shell in a bracelet, and it looks great!! I guess that's why I'm a bead maker and not a jewelry designer....LOL! I have absolutely no creativity when it comes to actually USING the beads I make. (Now I'm off to try to make myself a shell bracelet.....) Give Tucker a hug and smooch from me!

I'm so glad you like it! :)))) I love using big beads in bangle-type bracelets. They really draw your attention and you only need one or three to make it look good.

Thanks so very, very much again, Dawn. Hopefully, I'm going to be working on your *gorgeous* purple shells tonight... going to be getting out the crystals & pearls & seed beads for those. WATCH THIS SPACE! lol....

But walking with a gimp due to my bad back (hip really), favoring my surgery elbow and carrying a cat around to the bathroom and food dishes has really cut down on my designing time. Tonight if he behaves. :))))))) love, Linda

I keep opening message after message filled with advertisements for someone's beaded banners. They're followed by people saying that this person is being reported for abuse.

Is this the same chomoke who was posting many, many messages when I signed off the group about two years ago? If so, has he/she been posting these stupid messages the whole time I was away?

After all, nearly everyone who posts on this group could easily make a beaded banner, if they felt like using plastic beads and a simple peyote pattern. Another venue would be much more appropriate, like an online yard sale, or something where the customers would (a) like that kind of stuff and (b) don't already know how to make it themselves.

Very, very weird,

Kathy N-V, who remembers how to use headers, after all this time.

Kathy you must be in very old part of the newsgroup --- probably because it is going back to when you were last online? and trying to get you caught up? We haven't seen that person in ages.... Check the dates of the posts - probably very old
