polishing bakeable clay--Help please

Hello everyone! I have a questions. I am not able to make glass beads at this time. I am writing my graduate thesis and can not be overwhelmed with the price and the time I know I would put into it. But, I want to try and make some pretty beads from bakeable clay, like Fimo. I have a Dremel, my wonderful fiance' bought me one last week. I have some little buffers and things, and a "polishing kit." Does anyone have any good links that show ways to give Fimo or Sculpey a very nice high gloss and smoothness? I once saw some gorgeous beads on Ebay made from Sculpey that looked like glass and since then I've wanted to give it a shot.

Thanks very very much! Jennifer

Hi Jennifer,

I don't do PC (polymer clay), but others here do. As a matter of facct, Sarajane (sjpolyclay) wrote the book on it. You might also enquire at rec.crafts.polymer-clay.

and then look under "buffing." All of your questions will be answered there :) I have found it very useful also as I do a lot of polymer clay work.
