Embroidery Machine Ideas/Samples

Nov 22, 2003 6 Replies

I've been surfing, again, and found several websites with pictures showing completed clothing such as jackets, blouses, etc., with embroidery/applique designs on them. One in particular was a jacket with what appeared to be appliqued balloons going up the side. I found this on Livingsoft's website.

Being as I'm still a little timid to branch out on my own, I was hoping someone could tell me if there is a book that gives ideas of items to make and embroider. Is there such a thing?

There is a magazine called "Creative Machine Embroidery"

here is their website. I love their ideas. I think they gave me the idea to embroider the new screen before I installed it in my door. Now nobody walks through it and it looks great.

Thank you sooo much! I really love the site, and being as I don't like in the UK (Liz's post), it's very helpful. I'll also look at a few books. Thank you again!

U K also my daughter bought me a subscription to this mag in Feb. So far have only received 2 copies. after numerous emails I have given up. The same magazine has been sent twice to a mixture of my own and my dauthers address. At £33 for 6 magazines it is expensive but £33 for two mags is exorbiditent. Anne

My BW just discovered a magazine whose ideas she's fallen in love with. It't the Embroidery Journal - Five issues for US$20 (The website says it's published quarterly - I don't quite understand the five issue subscription).

Their very nice website is
