HELP HELP HELP. I am stuck, I have just been given a Husquvarna Designer 1 for a test before I buy it from a friend....very good deal.....
Now I need to know WHAT PROGRAM will convert from any format to SHV format? This machine will only read SHV format off the floppy.
Embird wont, Buzz Tools wont and I am totally stuck. Can anyone please help me?

You need one of two programs;
Viking's own program, "Disk Manager". The current version (6.2) will convert just about anything to the floppy disk structure needed by the D1.
That structure includes not only SHV files but PHV, DHV, and MHV, essentially index and menu files in a proprietary format.
The other program that can create SHV files and the D1 floppies is PES2Card version 1.03.012 or later.

Then how do you use the results on the Designer 1? Can you use floppies that have just the SHV's and DON'T have the menu informtion?

As far as I know, you need software that will also write menu information to the disk.
