looking for pre-wound bobbins

I am looking for a source for pre-wound bobbins for my Husqvarna Designer SE. It doesn't take the usual cardboard ones and the Husqvarna site doesn't carry them.

From what I see, it looks like the machine takes a type "L" bobbin, so if you do a search, you should be able to find lots of sources for type "L" bobbins that are pre-wound with various bobbin threads. There are both the paper-sided ones, and the plastic ones, plus some that have no sides at all but use starch to hold the thread on the bobbin until it's pulled up by the machine. You may not want that flaky starch in your bobbin case.

G'day Kirsten

The cardboard sides are easily peeled off if your machine doesn't like them, I do this all the time. I just checked a US seller who I bought heaps and heaps of coloured prewounds from but she doesn't have any listed at the moment, although it might not hurt to send an email and ask!

Her prices can't be beaten...and I have absolutely NO affiliation, other than being a highly, satisfied customer. Even with postage from the US to Australia her prices were the best I could find, anywhere.

bobbins are mostly Coats, but some are Robinson & Anton. I have no preference for either and both of my embroidery machines produce great results with prewounds. The colours are great where you see the reverse side, particularly bath towels and the like. They make lovely fine lace too!!

Hope this helps? Bronwyn ;-)
