REQ (again): Brother SE 270-D info and help...

Hey all, I just bought my wife a SE 270-D for Christmas, and after all the messing around, finally just got it replaced two weeks ago.



Anyway, she needs to know some info that we can't seem to find on Google or the manual:



  1. What software do we need to make designs?
  2. What kind of card does it take?
  3. How do we get the designs on the card?
  4. Can you recommend a site with more info this machine?

Any other help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! MusicMan

Hi! I have this same machine, and I love it! I use Simplicity Smart Box to transfer designs from my computer to the card that comes with the Smart Box. SE 270D excepts this card, and Amazing Designs,and Brother rewritable card also. Brother has programmed design cards too. Check Ebay for reader/writer boxes. They had a good deal on the PE-Basic by Brother $99.00. Amazing Designs makes Simplicity Smart Box. They are a really good company. Had my SSB 3 years, 2 of my card messed up and they replaced them.
