Req: .hus format

Nov 12, 2003 3 Replies

Hi Is there any one that knows how to read the .hus format? I'm developing an application and I want to be able to show .hus files. What I gathered so far is that the format is compressed som how, is that correct? And if so how?

Thanx /Jimmy

I'm not sure what you mean by read hus. format. I have a Viking Designer1 all I use is the hus. format. I use the Viking Customizing Plus. I can download any format and convert it to hus. to put on a disc for my machine to use. I can look at any design in hus. or any other format and see it on the program screen. It's the only program I use, I haven't personally found that I needed any other.

You can convert hus to pes, or something else with embird or buzz tools. nicesew "Valkyrie" schreef in bericht news:1068600812.639116@yasure...

Viking has been extremely reluctant to release the .hus file specs, either for its internal raw format or the compression scheme. I would contact HusqvarnaViking directly and try to cajole them into giving you the information you want.

Failing that, you might try to incorporate an existing application that either displays .hus files or converts them into something that you CAN display. Many other formats HAVE been published and widely disseminated.
