I just can't wait..... any idea what your ISP will say about spaming usenet? Lets's find out!!

If everyone that finds this post in violation of the Charter/FAQ sends an email to snipped-for-privacy@comcast.net with the original header and details Timucin should find out how they feel about this garbage. Me,? I just enjoy it all to ....

I bet all the "under $5.00 gifts" are made of glass too. Bet my Mom would like the idea of me buying her Christmas gift from discounter "Bluelightgifts.com" , that is if I bought my mom a gift. I'm in my scrooge mode now, bah humbug.

The goal is not to spam..it is more to get some response and feedback to the site.

If you are really interested... All evil eyes are glass. It is a Meditterenean specialty and I believe is also a part of Hispanic culture as well even though that is in a different form. Not to mention we also sell these beads by themselves which is used by many beadworkers..I have a regular customer who uses it in his glasswork and puts these in ashtrays etc!!!

If you noticed...it says LOOKING FOR BUSINESS partners. I am looking to contact bead/glass/gift shops who will carry these items.

If you are looking for something else to buy your mom, be my guest. This is a glass newsgroup so I figured it would be a smart idea to post it where people who work with glass would look. They might take a look at the site and like what they see. If not, they might just buy something for themselves or leave me feedback about the site pros/cons etc.

I doubt anyone else would be as ignorant as your post was

Language, Language, no x rated stuff, no matter how upset we are!! Kids read this sometimes.

Surely you jest? Only at the tail end of the subject line do you mention looking for business partners, and this is a glass group, where folks work with and otherwise discuss it. So it still does not fly.

Your original post is PURE sales oriented, nothing else, you just want to sell, be it retail or wholsale, you still want to sell. TAKE IT SOMEWHERE ELSE, if it is not related to working with glass. If it is made of glass does not qualify, everyone here works with glass, how about we all post an ad to sell ouyr stuff here? Bet we would have to rename the group.

And as far as Ignorant, does that mean I am uneducated, uninformed, or just plain stupid? You want to sell, better go elsewhere, you have just shown everyone what you are made of.

If you can't play the game by the rules, take it elsewhere.

Still want a website review? OK, I looked, and what I saw was a bunch of $1.00 a dozen(retail) beads put together for $15, rediculous price for the uninformed, wholesale, they would sit on the shelf, nothing special about them to attract a customer to buy.

And to buy from your site, you need BIGGER PICTURES. When I click on a thumbnail, on my 19" monitor and still get a mini picture, it is too small!! Can't see detail. Thats what I want to do, buy knock off military patches from a site that doesn't show that the detail is lacking....

Good luyck with your endeavor, you will need it. Could sell more if you had a cause, like donating a part of your profits to some relief fund. and the way you have things marked up, you have some serious profits, no wonder you are so defensive.

For your information...

  1. Our site does pretty decent in sales
  2. I did get a few interested people from this group!!
  3. The post of course is sales oriented..this is a home business so even though it is kind of like a hobby, ultimately it is a business. The group is not only for hobbies
  4. I do not know who made you the watchdog or where your hatred of retail comes from, and honestly..I could not care less. My goal was to find some people interested in selling these items and I did find some. These items that you do not like and degrade sell very well in stores in the Chicagoland area.
  5. Find me (in the US) 12 evil eye beads for ... I am probably the person selling them the cheapest at 15 cents a piece or so to beadworkers, retail usually is 50 cents a piece for them.

Keep your rudeness to yourself. I can play the game by the rules but not by the rules that you make. Unless you own the group, ignore the posting if you do not like it.

why would I care?

This has what? to do with the rec.crafts.glass NG?

Read FAQ and charter, interested business partners are nowhere to be found

"of course"? does this mean you will post what you want where you want as long as it is to your benefit? to my benefit, this is the last comment I will have on the blatant disregard you have for the common benefit of others, this is going way off topic, but no matter what you write, you know you were wrong to post a blatantly commercial post, your defense of your actions show this.

I have no such hatred, but your next sentence shows your motive....

My goal was to find some people interested in selling these items and I did find

Statement above should tell those that are interested in being your customers what you are all about.....YOU.

3 or 4 people out of the hundreds, perhaps thousands that lurk here daily, wow, that's quite an accomplishment. I'd be proud of that too, you bet. Can you hear the sarcasm dripping?

Got a discount bead shop right down the street, they have eye beads, cheap too. $1.00 per dozen, course you are competeing with China, you can do that can't you?

shooting, unlike you , who doesn't post according to the Rules, the charter I had nothing to do with creating.

I can play the game by the rules but

just drew attention to your violating them.

Unless you own the group, ignore the

I stand by the original post, snipped-for-privacy@comcast.net will do the trick, along with a link to the charter, and thanks for dropping by.

Because you're a spammer

Because you spammed the group.

"Kind of like a hobby" Hmm. The IRS will love that quote when at tax time you try to write your "hobby" off as a business.

You have spammed the newsgroup.

Again admitting this was a commercial post.

Keep your spam to yourself.
