I recently bought three charts of shells - Phoebe's Delicate Seaside Confections, one of which is labeled Part 2.
Is there a Part 1 for me to search for?????

As far as I recall, there are about a total of four shell designs to be found. Three are labelled in parts to the Phoebe Delicate Seaside Confections collection (spin-off from Prof Fizzby collection), but there was an additional special market edition. Part 1: Lister's Conch Part 2: Graceful Fig Shell Part 3: Precious Wentletrap Nashville Special: Japanese Wonder Shell
Another point of interest for a Dimple design reference, I would check out Dana's (thutmosis) page.
Even better, I just noticed a post from BitsyB on another board. I think she may do some model stitching for Terry, but nonetheless she is very chummy with him. She just informed another board earlier this morning that our beloved Prof Fizzby has a website back. It is still in early stages, but it is there!!! Woohoo!!!
Ohh - can I get a hold of that one! I had a Japanese Wonder but it was broken many moons ago. I
Thanks! Is a lot of his stuff out of print? I also spotted a cockle shell on this list.
Cheryl
I am not familiar with the cockle shell unfortunately. It set my XS radar abuzz as I am addicted to shells. At this point in time, "Japanese Wonder" was a limited market edition. Some LNS's and ONS's may still have it available, but it will probably take some searching. I don't have all of these yet, but I did make a point of nabbing "Japanese Wonder" from my LNS to secure against limited numbers. I didn't mean to tease, but my copy is not for sale. I wish you luck, but I believe anything can be found online eventually.
Do I bless you or curse you! LOL
CCheryl...
you enabler! I looked at the Dimples Designs website and found 2 more patterns (the secret life of snowflakes 1 and 2) that are screaming my name!! I'm desperately trying to ignore the calls of St Basil'c Cathedral!

At your service!
Only a few of the eggs "call me", but I HAD to have Twilight of the Tsars.
Cheryl
Yay!!! I'm glad he's back online. My question: Is there a Wee Beasties #12? His listing skips from #11 to #13. I love the blue butterflies and already have the charts for the lower-numbered ones. I also have Shroomhilde somewhere in my stash--she's so cute!

...."Twilight of the Tsars"....
about 10 years ago, there was an exhibit of the Faberge Imperial Easter Eggs - along with a whole lot of personal effects from the family of the last Tsar, Nicholas II- touring the US. One of the stops was at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in NYC. DD and I went one day over spring break. The workmanship was breathtaking .. and to see things that the Romanovs used before they were murdered.....takes my breath away!

So tell me, Cheryl. Should I haul it out of the backlog and just DO it? It's been there for who-knows-how-long but I need an incentive!
Felice
I would have loved have seen that!
Cheryl
Yes!

Cheryl if you ever have a chance to go to the Marjorie Merriweather Post Mansion in Washington DC they have a small collection of the Faberge. The name for the mansion is Hillwood. The eggs are part of the permanent collection not just an exhibit on loan. It has been well over 10 years since I was there but I remember being very impressed with everything in the house. This is a link to the Faberge part of the collection
Personally, I looooove the Lily of the Valley Faberge egg, except that I'm not too keen on the pink background. And I'm not so sure where I'd come up with the millions to buy it.
Terry must've heard my prayers, because I now have Lily of the Valley, with a BLUE background. :)

The leaf shaped box made my heart sing! How lovely!
