Book: Creating Your Perfect Quilting Space

Does anyone have the book "Creating Your Perfect Quilting Space" and is it helpful in organizing a room for needlework storage? Or is it too quilt-o-centric?

I bought a copy of this book along with a copy of Dream Sewing Spaces, Design & Organization for Spaces Large & Small by Lynette Ranney Black.

Both books focus on creating great sewing & quilting spaces such as arranging cutting tables, laying out sewing spaces, places to iron, supplies storage, etc..........bottomline, the books are excellent for the dedicated creative stitcher who needs space to work and store stash.

IMO these two books are great helps for stitchers to set up good work and storage areas. A lot of useful suggestions, lots of pics and layouts. The Dream Sewing Space book features many suggestions for storage, lighting and other practical info for large & small spaces and may be more helpful to the average needleworker.

I've been a full time needlework designer for over 20 years and building two new large studios & a new office having outgrown my first studio & office ages ago!

One new studio is for painting with space for paper & paint storage and the second studio is a very large space for needlework and mixed media fabric arts. I'll finally have the space to work & store fabrics, bolts of needlepoint canvas, collections of yarns & threads for needlepoint & embroidery as well as a wall of knitting yarns in one space.

It's amazing how much space creative stash takes up!
