weaving in all loose ends on each square is time-consuming but easier in the long run then waiting til the whole things done.

what's the best way- for you- to "tame the wilde ends"?

When I finish a round, I flip it over and just pull the ends through the shafts of the DC. Takes about two seconds.

have a granny square afghan that my grandmother made for me about 35years ago that fits the top of my CA. King bed, and I have a one hugegranny square afghan that I use as a bedspread but, after making onesmall afghan with granny squares, I swore off of afghans involving agazillion little pieces that need to be connected. Now I just stick toone piece afghans or, MAYBE, if I like the pattern enough, ones thatinvolve stripes. I HATE attaching all of those squares! ! !Liz from Humbug

I made a huge afghan about 20 years ago. I got so that I could make a granny square in the dark, my hand knew the motions by heart. I crocheted the squares together I think.

Well it has been a few years but I recall carrying the ends over the top of the preceding row and crocheting over them. I haven't crocheted for years now. The last thing I made was a curtain in fine cotton. It wore me out and then I moved 2 months after finishing. Haven't made anything since. Dora
