Embroidery machine question

Hi all, I'm coming, once again, to the fount of all knowledge! :)

In cleaning my DFIL's house, we ran across a brand-new, still-in-the- box Pfaff embroidery machine. My FIL would like to sell it (my MIL has been gone for nearly 9 years) but I have *no* idea what they're worth or even where to go about selling it (except eBay, of course). It's a Creative 1473. It has (as far as I can tell) all the instruction and pattern books. How much are they worth/should we ask for it?

From the little patch of fabric she did some practicing on (a variety

of buttonholes, some satin-stitching, an alligator and their names), it looks like it does a lovely job. I'm sure that was probably the only time it was ever used!

Comments? Suggestions?

TIA!

Joan

Joan, I'd do a little investigating with Google. I came up with prices anywhere from $200 to $400 or so. You might also look for a Pfaff dealer near you. With shipping and insurance, you may just be better off selling it through a local newspaper ad, or for a huge discount to a dealer.

If it were me, I'd get out that manual and use the thing. Or give it away to a good home. :~)
