Mirjam, I know and feel your "pain"! Major source of frustration this can be :/ Not to mention, I hate paying extra money just because of the "label" (or monogram) and/or Logo. Generic is usually as good as the "label."

You reminded me of something I haven't thought about in a long time. I worked in a building in Manhattan that was down the block from Bergdorf Goodman, had many of the most expensive, classiest hotels in New York and housed some of the very expensive modeling agencies. One day a gorgeous, young guy came walking down the block, dressed in jeans and a t-shirt and looking magnificent. As he passed people had the silliest grins on their faces.

When he passed us we saw what everyone was smiling about. On the back pocket of his jeans, right up on his butt, was a blank square of red fabric with the following inscription: This space for rent, cheap.

It was definitely a sight to behold.

My gripe is those stupid, stiff, scratchy care/brand name tags that everyone sews in at the center back of the neckline. I NEVER wear a garment without cutting the tags out first - which leave me guessing as to the actual care of the garment.

I like the brands that have the tags at the waist or hem of shirts!

When I bought my car, I asked the dealer if they would give me a break on the car payment for carrying their tag on the bumper. Hah!

We always tell them they can't put their advertising info on the car. I believe they have to ask permission and it's on one of the many forms you sign when you buy a car; we always say up front "No advertising space on our car" and they've always obliged.

I fully agree with Mirjam - if you want me to advertise/endorse your product, you have to pay me to do so!
