Need advice

I need your opinion, should I use the diamonds or the squares on this quilt? This is a Christmas present for my new daughter in law so it has to be perfect! The picture is below:

As i don`t know your Daughter in law, it is hard to advice , but since you want it to be perfect ,, why not make it in the technique or manner in which you feel the easiest to work. mirjam
