saw this book in our store the other day, and liked it so much I bought it. It is originally French. The designs are reallly simple motifs, mongrams and a few alphabets and samplers, some cross stitch, some simple surface embroidery, but they have a European sensibility to them which is often quite sophisticated--or remind me a bit of some of the old Ondori books with little spot motifs. The book is organized by colour, so there is a chapter of green, which includes for example trees, one of red...I look forward to doing some just for fun stitching with the book. Dawne

Very cute. After seeing Donna's purchases last week & this, I'm having a "might have to buy some books" moment. Although, well, I did go to Borders (with coupon) and buy a really good book on perspective for artists, and some bargain technique kind of book.

Have fun!

That bears closer examination - wonder if I can get the library to buy it.
