You are so talented!!! Such a lovely mixture of various techniques ( is that the word I want?), all done so excellently!

I knew you had stitched some lovely pieces, because you showed me some when we had our lunch date three years or so ago!

I might add, Joan gave me a fantastic tour of Grand Forks, and I now know a lot more than I did beforehand. Whenever I hear of the Red River flooding, I remember all the places she took me to.

Lovely, eclectic needlework. But then, I'm not surprised :-). Now, about that DGD -- when will she be arriving? I have several brand new little girl crib sheets and no one to give them to! Bought them when I thought the SMDGD was going to be in her crib for a bit longer but that didn't happen -- LOL! They're yours for your DGD if you want them! CiaoMeow >^;;^<

Love the blankie Joan, that looks like the nameless yarn I was telling you about, very, very soft and cuddly.

Thanks! The tatting is fun to do. I just wish I could find more uses for it!

Someday I'm going to take a class on quilting. I have some

*beautiful* fabric I bought a few years ago but, with the practice quilt I made for DD, I could see that I need some instruction in refining my techniques! lol

Thanks, TM! Eclectic, huh? Never thought about it but, yeah, I guess it is!!!! lol

She will be arriving sometime around June 9th. Thanks for the offer of the crib sheets! That's very nice of you. AFAIK, they haven't gotten (there's that word again! lol) things like that, yet, since they were waiting to find out the sex. You still have my address, right?

LOL! That would be tooo funny that we both came up with the same yarn! Now I can start buying pink and lavender yarn for other fun stuff to make! :)

I should still have your snail mail. If not, I will be sure to e-mail you for it. I'll let you know when I get the package in the mail. I have to send off the birth sampler for my GrandNephew and I

**hope** to do that this Friday. Not going to hold my breath on that one but when I send his stuff off, I will send you the crib sheets-- LOLOL! Now, is there going to be a theme for the nursery? I have loads of leftover Disney Princess fabric as well as bunny fabric, lamb fabric and KITTY fabric (of course) all suitable for a little girl baby. If you plan on making a quilt, I would be MORE THAN HAPPY to send fabric to you and get it out of my stash! The SMDGD wants a new bedroom theme so I certainly won't be needing the Princess fabrics any longer. Remember to save ALL of the receiving blankets once the little one doesn't need them any longer. We all know they make great dust rags but they also make up into a wonderfully warm and snuggly quilt!!! I made two receiving blanket quilts for the SMDGD. One is of 6" (I think) squares and has a flannel back. The other is what I call a "play quilt". It is made up of 12" squares, has several layers of batting and a heavy denim backing. She uses this one when she wants to sit on the ground outside to play. It keeps the tush warm in the winter and cool in the summer and is also great as a car quilt. I made a ton of flannel burp cloths when R was teensy. To buy them is ridiculously expensive and making them is a piece of cake! No pattern needed and if you want the directions, let me know, OK? I also have directions for making one of those covers you put in the seat part of a grocery cart. Again -- very easy to make and ridiculously expensive to purchase! I made two -- one to be kept in each car. Will you be stitching a Birth Sampler? If so, which one will you do? What about a Christening Gown? Soooo many things to be made for a sweet maggot that you really don't have any time at all :-)))). You need to win the lottery, quit work and just stay home and stitch and sew, etc. CiaoMeow >^;;^<

That would be great, TM!

Knowing Dani, I imagine there will be, but I don't think they've decided, yet. The nursery is their former store-room, so they have a bit more cleaning to do before the decorating can take place.

Great idea, that I *never* would have thought of! I think I'm going to save this letter for future reference! :)

This would also be helpful. I have a bunch of pink & purple flannel left over from Mandy's quilt that I've been trying to figure out what to do with.

Having been away from the "baby scene" for quite a few years, I didn't even know about these.

That I'll leave up to Dani (she's pretty fussy). I have a couple really cute ones in my stash, but I'm not gonna stitch them up unless she likes them. One is a JanLynn design, "Mice babies", and the other is a small Dimensions kit, "The best place to be".

I think I've got the one my mom made for my kids (either that or my brother has it...must look for it!). Unless her mom has Dani's (if she even got baptized...they're not too religious). If that can't be located (and how sad would *that* be?), I'll think about knitting something up.

Yeah, I'd *really* like that! Find me that winning number, okay, TM??? :)

Thanks again, and I'll keep you posted on any and all progress.
