Crying certainly sounds appropriate, but don't give up yet. My friend's daughter Alicia was told the same thing. It's now over 7 years and she's still here and taking care of her family.

There is always hope.......even though it is remote.

I am sending all the positive vibes in his direction. You, too, because you will need to be strong and supportive to your friend, and his wife ( I think you said a baby is on the way)!

Can he get to the University of Iowa Medical School? I had a friend with terminal brain cancer and the tumor gradually disappeared. She died last summer, but not from the cancer.

Six months to five years? You're right, that's not good. But a lot can happen in two or three or five years. New treatments come out all the time, and you can do a lot of living in that time frame, too!

Good thoughts and prayers for Jamie, Monique in TX
