Opinion of Bucilla Kits? Or Design Works too?

I haven't posted here in many, many moons but I have been lurking.

I don't normally like to stitch from kits but I saw 'Lofty Living' from Bucilla and 'Tiger of the Heavens' from Design Works in the Herrschners catalogue.

What's the consensus these days on Bucilla kits? I seem to recall they were not thought highly of. They don't use DMC do they? Or at least not the DMC numbering.

What about Design Works? I don't think I'm familiar with them.

Thanks,

Gord

I haven't bought a Bucilla kit in a while, mostly because I did NOT like the thread they used. I don't know what it was; it's certainly not DMC numbered, but neither are the Dimensions kits. But the Bucilla stuff tangled, broke, etc. They may have improved, I don't know. Kits are too expensive for me to pick one up just to see, after my disappointment with them in the past.
