How refreshing... and much more natural to have this kind of non- chemical, non-toxic exterminator on duty. I know some are highly allergic to cats, but I would venture to guess they would be more allergic to rodent droppings in their foods!

Thanks! (and.. Dirty Linen is an awesome read!)

People can be such pains. My aunt lived in a lovely little town called Malvern and they had a wonderful deli there. She did all the cooking of hams, turkeys etc. and he 'entertained' customers while they were purchasing. Just wonderful stuff.

They had a cat called Sweeney who usually spent the morning in the sun behind the shop window sleeping after his mousing exertions. Lovely big black and white guy. Eventually someone reported Sweeney to the town health department who came out and told them Sweeney had to depart the shop area, they lived above the shop. So after that, although he was around the shop in the dark of the night, customers did not see him again, and missed him.

Somebody saw a cloth cat at a craft fair that looked remarkably like Sweeney, bought it and put it in the window for them. Can you believe the health people were out instantly because they had 'reports your cat is back in the shop again' - what utter asses some people are !!
