The one that really cracks me up is when someone intends to write "voila", and not knowing that is French, writes "walla", "wolla" etc.

That`s a gem! Never come across it before!

One lady on another group I visit writes it "viola".
Olwyn Mary in New Orleans.
Most of the people who write "Walla!" *mean* to crack you up.
Snort! I've *never* seen or heard "old timer's disease" when it wasn't meant the same vein as "I've got CRS" and "I think about the hereafter a lot . . . what am I hereafter?"

Reminds me (Heaven alone knows why) of my dear old Aunty Lil, who insisted on looking around "Antikew" shops!!! At least she always spelt it correctly! As nothing whatsoever to do with it, my mother (her sister) always insisted that Lil was MUCH older than her and used to refer to her as "poor old Lil". Recently I discovered that, in fact, she was exactly 11 months older than Mum!
