OT - gardening

Ohhhh, my aching back. I've just moved roughly a cubic yard of triple mix, and some cedar mulch onto my new flower beds. I'm going to get the DH to move some more of the t mix after supper tonight, and I then I can finish doing the mulching tomorrow. I still have at least another cubic yard of soil to top dress the lawns and top up new flower beds.

I remembered to wear my gloves so my hands aren't too rough for stitching.

Tomorrow I'm also going to go and pick up some bedding plants to get them hardened off before I plant them in my new beds.

Just have to keep reminding myself that it took me 15 years at the old house to get the garden to where I wanted it, so the new gardens won't look that way overnight. (sigh)

You've got a lot of work ahead of you, even though it sounds like you've already put in quite a bit of time.

I'm missing the gardens I use to have. I had an incredibly beautiful backyard that was filled with flowers and flowering bushes. I miss it a lot. Here in the new condo we've started planting in the tiny bed that we have but stonecrop, pinks, daylilies and the sweatpeas that are just starting to peep out of the ground are about all we have room for. *sigh*
