If some of you people who lurk wish to join rctnp it is most helpful if you add a sentence saying you heard about the group from rctn. That way it is easy for me to sort out the real people from the spammers.
I have had a few applications recently that I really wasn't sure about
- some are obvious, others not so much.

Same here. I moderate a couple of groups and it's always easier to decide when the application includes one of the magic words.
I thought the whole group of RCTN ngs was a free to all people , i had no idea you could form a part of it where somebody can moderate / monitor who will join it and who won`t ,,, mirjam

I am adding to that post to say I currently have three requests I can't decide upon. They don't mention rctn, some have addresses that look very spam-like rather than being individuals, so if anyone here has requested to join but not mentioned rctn, please do it again and you're in lol

My "New England stitching" group is getting 2-3 requests a week - strangely worded and often not in the US, let alone New England.

Perhaps they think that we needleworkers are lonely and need their dating services? Because I haven't gotten new applicants for the CFS groups who are clearly there for the wrong purpose. (Well, except for the whackjob who wants to attribute CFS to everything under the sun except the virus, but we have him moderated.)
