Actually she went to the hair-dressers just before her interview. One of my daughters has hair rather like hers (her name is Susan, too) and occasionally she has it done too. It doesn`t last long though - particularly if she gets caught in the rain!

Just goes to prove what I've been telling my DW for years, If YOU HAVE TALENT you do not need a dozen eighteen wheelers full of lights, smoke and mirrors!

I also fondly remember at Knoxville Iowa raceway when a young lady (20ish) got up on a stand and sang the US anthem. No mic or music just her singing! Her voice carried right up to the top of the viewing stands like a nightingale. Made the hair stand up on the back of my neck. Just to hear her sing was worth the ticket price.
