When my young( 38) sister in law was dying of cancer while she was still able to be at home and up and about she threw a party. Invited all her friends family etc. She said she enjoyed a good Irish wake and didn't want to miss hers. Ruby

Yes, that's the idea. Mine has a bit more to do with my Buddhist practice than having fun, but having fun is so wonderful.

The irony of this whole thing is that my doctor called me before and after ten weeks of Infergen injections there is no detectable measure of Hepatitis C virus, aka HCV! If we can keep the virus down, my liver won't continue to degenerate.

It's truly amazing news for me and will make the balance of 37 weeks of treatment worth while. Daily injections is not fun, but I'm willing to do whatever it takes.

Hang on there, indeed. Now this question isn`t intended to be facetious in ANY way - but are there actually ANY fortunate people on here in the full bloom of health?

Most days, but not today. I have a sinus infection again. The joys of allergy season. However, the kids are fine. :)

Thank goodness for that! I was beginning to think we were just an outpatients` waiting room! LOL!

Oh poor you, Cheryl - I`ve only had that twice but it feels as if you`ve been kicked in the face at times, doesn`t it?

As far as I'm concerned, I'm in the full bloom of health. My mind doesn't give in and IMO, my mind tells my body what it needs to know.

I thnk part of your answer is in our Attitude ,, I do feel as healthy as i want, which i do daily ,, but of course i do `some` things slower than when i was 20 , but other things i do quicker because Preactise taught me to do it quicker ,,,,, I want to be healthy , thus i am healthy as much as i can .... mirjam

And how! The PA wanted to know why I was sure I had a sinus infection until she scanned my chart!

I'm so glad my allergies disappeared.

My H.S. aged ones brought strep into the house as part of the house re-warming party (two of their guests discovered they had it two days later), so now it's running it's merry way thru the house. In me it's an ear infection, in middle dd it's her throat, and now in oldest dd it's the sinuses.

So far Dude and youngest are bacteria free....knock wood!

Sounds like you need to paint a white cross on the door, or go around ringing a handbell!

DD had an ear infection about 2 weeks ago. I was fine until last Monday. Today my eye was gummed shut when I woke up. Time to make that visit.

ROFL!! That's an image!

The antibiotics are doing their job. I only missed one day of work, and that mostly because I had to take DD to the doctor. It's easy for me to walk over during my lunch hour, but much harder to get her from the house to the doctor and back.

I am looking forward to the weekend, no alarm at 5:35 is a very very good thing!

Other than the synthroid I'm taking for hypothyroidism, I'm healthy as a horse! I rarely even get colds and I don't know *when* the last time was I had the flu....I think before the kids were born and that was more than 20 years ago! And I don't get the shots, either.

Sure there are! Other than minor hypertension, and a small basal cell skin cancer that comes off this week, I am extremely healthy! Naturally the body develops a few creaks as it ages, and mine is almost 70 years old, but I feel that I am a fortunate and healthy woman!

Mirjam,

You MUST have been away from your computer for a few days last week and weekend.LOL It had been very quiet and friendly for a while, although I must admit there were not many posts, and then the volcano erupted again!

However, it isn't just this newsgroup. The diabetes support group have "hate sessions" , and the language is mush worse!!
