The neighborhood deli was open on a stormy winter night. Max, the owner, was getting ready to close when a figure came in through the door.
A man, covered with snow and looking like a snowman. He shook off his hat and brushed his shoulders. He took off his gloves and opened his coat. "Give me a quarter pound novie, two sour pickles, a schmaltz herring and a rye bread," he said.
Max was amazed. "For that you came out on a night like this? Did your wife sent you?"
The customer growled, "Of course it was my wife. Do you think my mother would let me go out on a night like this?"
