panther help

I am looking for a pattern I saw several years ago. I don't know the exact name but it is the eyes of a panther. The piece is long and narrow, showing the eyes and part of the forehead. I saw it in a Herrschners catalogue, I called them, the rep remembered the piece, but they no longer carry it. Does anyone know where I might find this?

Hi Trisha:

This might be "Wild Eyes" by Stephanie Hedgepath (Pegasus Designs). There are five sets of eyes - panther, tiger, cheetah, snow leopard and leopard. She also did a similar one of house cats (in the "Just Cats" brochure). I've done them both and they hang in our bedroom.

Her website is:

couldn't find "Wild Eyes", but if you check "Just Cats" it has the similar design and will at least tell you if this is the designer you are looking for. You could then e-mail them. Or was it similar to this?

Try

and do a keyword search for "panther" or a category search for "animals/wild cats". It sounds familiar, possibly from Cross My Heart or Stoney Creek. Both designers are listed on Hoffman's website, so you can search that way, too.

Happy Hunting!

I just bought this pattern last week. It's called "Wild Eyed" and is published by Pegasus Originals, the designer is Stephanie Seabrook Hedgepath. I know there were more left at the shop where I got it -- we were on vacation in California, and the name of the shop is Needlecraft Cottage, in San Diego. I believe they have a website, and the shopowner is VERY nice. I'm sure she'd be glad to mail it to you.
