Cucumber salad(Jewish Pickles)

4 large cucumbers peeled and sliced very very thin 1 yellow onion,sliced very thinly 3/4 cup sugar 1/2 cups water 1 cup white vinegar 1/2 tsp dried dill peel and slice cucumbers.(use mandolin if you have one ) Mix with onion. Put cucumbers and onion in heat proof bowl,sprinkle with a little extra dill. Bring to a boil the other ingr. Then Pour over the cucumber and onion heat proof dish. Put saran wrap over top. Let cool and put in frig to chill serves 6-10 If you only use 2 large cucumbers, 1/2 onion- serves 2-5(don't change the other part of the recipe) Barbara Have a new recipe for the New Year Barbara
