FWIW, that's what I do, including re-stitching immediately. Especially if I have to do something clever to disguise a mistake -it helps to do it then while I'm thinking about it.

That makes good sense. When I was doing some canvas designing, my thought was to use others to stitch, basically as I wanted some input on the design, stitches, etc. But, then I'm trying to offer basic stitch guides with some, and thought getting feedback would be a good thing. Plus, if I have to stitch all mine, I'd never get anything done. Feeling the itch to get back to this, so will see how it goes.

Lately I've been noticing that if I have a question about coverage, I stitch a bit, and then take a look before doing more - or if I'm at a stitch group- have someone else's eyes available for a judgement (as in I might be toooo picky). But, after some recent frogging when I decided I had to change from 2 to 3 plies of a thread, I've thought it would be a good idea to test for coverage in a corner of the linen rather than in the design.
