Ventillation

I'm new at firing and need information regarding proper ventilation. I own a Skutt Kiln and will be firing in my basement. The kiln will be near a window so that I can vent out the toxic fumes. What exactly would I need to do to make sure that no fumes remain indoors.

Thanks

Get yourself a Kiln Vent and fit it to the kiln. Made by Orton, Skutt, and others - should be available from most kiln suppliers. Worth every cent.
