Don't try 1.5" at first Amy! Work your way down.

4" is perfectly easy, then do 3", and 2" and you're almost there. The easiest block to try it with is a foundation pieced square in a square. It is easy, but it will get you used to handling the small pieces - and for FP they don't have to be that small: you just cut a lot off! Blocks with quilt a few seams are the worst, as it is hard to keep them flat. I have done quite a few 1.5" and eve 1" log cabins; but that is certainly no place to start >g< . Thanks Michelle. Fossil Fern is so great because it has the main colour and always hints or more of a second and third. It works well for needing to move from one colour to another. Though florals (if I had more than a couple!) work even better. . In message , Michelle C writes

It is very tantalizing! I just love fabrics that do that. :-) (Okay, well I just love fabric, but you know what I mean. ;-)

Thanks Sandy. I thought of you, actually, when I was quilting *really* green fabric with *really* green thread! I often do turquoise, but not often a group of true greens. . In message , Sandy Ellison writes
