Bargello Jacket

Mar 13, 2011 1 Replies

My quilt group in Florida expressed an interest in making a quilted jacket, and I saw a "Fractured Bargello Jacket" demo'd on a Kaye Wood program, and thought it might be interesting.

3 brave quilters as well as myself took on the project, The other two that I've seen are beautiful, and I'm looking forward to seeing the final one as well. The strips are stitched to a sweatshirt that has been disassembled, then it is stitched back together. I chose to round the top and bottom front corners as well before adding the binding. I think I'll get lots of use from this one in spring and fall as well as Florida winters. The pictures are in my "Quilts 2011" album at webshots.
